Promotions, own brand and local product

The company reinforced its positioning with an intense promotional policy that transferred to households an added savings of 202 millones de euros, an effort that has been key to boosting demand in a price-sensitive context.

The greater presence of the own brand in the basket has boosted loyalty thanks to a differentiated proposal in quality and price, without neglecting the assortment of manufacturer brands to maintain a broad and balanced offer.

The focus on proximity continues to be strategic: Eroski collaborates with more than 2.000 agri-food producers to strengthen the local fabric and the sustainability of the value chain.

In this line, the group plans to formalize an agreement with the Basque government with the aim of strengthening the local agri-food sector and advancing more sustainable practices.

Commercial network: openings and modernization

During the semester, the commercial network was expanded with 31 new stores: 6 own establishments (4 supermarkets, 1 cash & carry and 1 Forum Sport store) and 25 franchises, reinforcing the group's capillarity.

Notable projects include the comprehensive renovation of the flagship store of Caprabo in L'Illa Diagonal (Barcelona), conceived as a pioneering concept in innovation and sustainability to strengthen its presence in Catalonia.

Eroski recalls that it maintains its cooperative identity as first cooperative distribution group of the country, with more than 27.600 professionals, of which more than 9.000 are member-owners.

Digital drive and technological investments

The company has taken a step forward in its online strategy with the launch of its Marketplace, expanding the commercial offering in the digital channel and improving the shopping experience in an increasingly integrated ecosystem.

This progress is complemented by investments in advanced analytics and Artificial Intelligence, aimed at optimizing promotional segmentation and customer relationship management.

The transformation also reaches the back office: modernization of the logistics and store management systems to gain productivity and operational efficiency.

All of this is part of the technological transformation plan. 2024-2026, endowed with more than 100 million euros, to consolidate a more innovative and competitive business model aligned with new forms of consumption.

With gross sales growing by 2,9%, an upward EBITDA and a profit of 55,5 million, the semester leaves a balance of sustained progress, supported by effective promotions, greater emphasis on its own brand, closeness to local suppliers, and a clear commitment to digitalization and modernization of its network.
